Apple is rumoured to launch its iPhone 15 series sometime in September this year. Last year, we saw the Cupertino-based tech giant focusing more on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. The brand introduced multiple changes to the Pro models to make them different from the standard models.
It is now being reported that this year also, Apple will focus more on the Pro model to be their best seller. The report from itHome reveals that the order number for iPhone 15 Pro displays is higher compared to the 14 Pro. Let’s take a look at what Apple’s expectations are from the iPhone 15 Pro.
Apple Orders More iPhone 15 Pro Displays
In the latest development, a report indicates that Apple would be expecting its iPhone 15 Pro model to be the star performer of the year. According to Display Supply Chain Consulting Company (DSCC), iPhone 15 series display orders in June 2023 could be 100 per cent higher compared to the iPhone 14 series panel orders in the same period last year.
Furthermore, DSCC reports that the display orders for iPhone 15 Pro models are higher compared to the iPhone 14 Pro models from last year. Last year between June and July, around 43% of orders accounted for the iPhone 14 Pro models, however, the numbers increased to 58% this year for the iPhone 15 Pro models.
This indicates how high hopes Apple has for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. A past report indicated that iPhone 14 Pro Max was the best-selling model among the iPhone 14 series in the US. The sales were so much higher that they exceeded Apple’s expectations.
DSCC also revealed that the shipment for the iPhone 14 series display fell by 22% compared to that of the iPhone 13 series in the last year between June and July.
iPhone 15 Pro Expected Specifications and Features
Apple iPhone 15 Pro leaked case reveals that the brand’s signature mute button for iPhone could be replaced by a custom button. The Pro models are said to feature Type-C ports for the first time on iPhone for charging and data transfer.
The device could feature slimmer bezels around the display. As per reports, the 15 Pro bezels will measure around 1.55mm on all four sides. The Pro models are also tipped to get a titanium frame as opposed to aluminium on the regular models.
For the optics, the Pro models are tipped to feature a triple-camera setup on the back with a LiDAR sensor and an LED flash. It is also being said that the 3x optical zoom telephoto camera lens will be replaced by a periscope lens offering up to 6x optical zoom.
Rest, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with ProMotion support for up to 120Hz and Apple A17 Bionic SoC.
