Apple’s flagship iPhone XS and XS Max models went on sale in India in the last week of September. Thanks to their sky-high price tags, the duo received a lukewarm response from consumers in the country. However, things may improve for Apple in the coming weeks, as the most affordable 2018 iPhone model, the iPhone XR is set to go on sale in India this week. While iPhone XR pre-orders on leading e-commerce platforms and offline stores commenced this past Friday, the iPhone XR is now available for pre-order online at Vodafone Idea as well. Deliveries are set to begin on October 26, i.e. this Friday. To lure Apple fans in India, Vodafone Idea Limited has come up with some exciting offers for its customers.

iPhone XR Now Available for Pre-Order at Vodafone Idea
Customers can now pre-order the iPhone XR on Vodafone.in and Ideacellular.com. Vodafone Red and Idea Nirvana customers with a rental plan of INR 499 and above can avail 48 hour home delivery and select cities, along with 20% rental discount for a period of 1 year. In addition to these, customers can avail low-cost EMI option to pre-order the iPhone XR. The same benefits also apply on the purchase of the iPhone XS and XS Max models, which are available for immediate purchase on both the Vodafone and Idea online stores.
Should You Pick the iPhone XR Over the iPhone XS?
The iPhone XR, as mentioned earlier, is the most “affordable” iPhone model that Apple has released this year. In India, the iPhone XR starts at INR 76,900 for the 64GB storage variant. The 128GB variant is priced at INR 81,900, while the top-end 256GB storage variant costs INR 91,900. While it may not be on the same level as the iPhone XS and XS Max in terms of hardware, the much lower price-tag does make it seem like a better deal. It is powered by the same A12 Bionic chipset as the more expensive models, which means you can expect it to offer superior performance compared to any other smartphone available in the same price range. In terms of imaging, the iPhone XR has a single 12MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens, Smart HDR, optical image stabilization, Portrait Lighting, and a Portrait mode with advanced bokeh as well as depth control. Some of the other common features include a TrueDepth camera for Face ID and eSIM support. In terms of battery life, however, the iPhone XR is expected to be even more impressive than the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max.
It also comes in more colors compared to the iPhone XS. You can get the iPhone XR in Black, White, Coral, Blue, Yellow, or Red colors. The iPhone XR is water and dust resistant as well, although, it comes with a slightly less impressive IP67 rating.
On the flip side, however, the iPhone XR does not come with an OLED display. That being said, the iPhone XR’s Liquid Retina HD display is claimed by Apple to be the most advanced LCD display in the market.
