Apple’s new consumer laptop, the MacBook Air M2, will be available for purchase later this month in India. The new Apple MacBook Air M2 was announced at the WWDC 22 last month. Apple will start accepting pre-orders of its new Air laptop starting July 8. Customers who are interested in purchasing the new M2-powered MacBook can place a pre-order starting July 8.

The pre-orders can be placed on the Apple India Online Store and authorised retail partners. The new M2 MacBook Air will go on sale starting July 15 in India. Let’s take a look at the Apple MacBook Air M2 price in India, specifications and other details.

Apple MacBook Air M2: Price in India and Pre-order Details

Apple MacBook Air M2 will hit the store shelves starting July 15. Customers can also place a pre-order of the Air M2 from July 8. The pre-order window will open on July 8 at 5.30 pm IST. Apple MacBook Air M2 price in India starts at Rs 1,19,900. Under the education program, the MacBook Air M2 can be bought for Rs 1,09,900 in India.

The MacBook Air M2 comes in Midnight, Silver, Starlight and Space Grey. Its base model offers 8GB of RAM along with 256GB of internal storage. The base configuration also offers an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU. Customers can upgrade the RAM to 24GB and storage to 2TB. They can also choose to buy the 8-core CPU variant with a 10-core GPU.

Coming to the specifications and features, the MacBook Air M2 sports a flat frame design, which is similar to the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. It also sports a wide notch with slimmer bezels around the display. This has resulted in the Air offering a slightly larger 13.6-inch display. The Liquid Retina display also matches the MacBook Pro M2’s screen brightness of 500 nits.

The M2 chip offers up to 18 per cent faster CPU and 35 per cent more powerful GPU. It also allows users to upgrade the RAM to up to 24GB, which is higher than the M1’s 16GB RAM support.

The webcam on the new MacBook Air has been upgraded to 1080p. In addition to this, the M2 Air also gets MagSafe charging support. Apple will provide a 30W charger with the 8-core GPU option. The 10-core GPU variant with 512GB variant will come with a 35W dual-Type-C charger. Apple will also give users the option to upgrade to 67W fast charger at an additional cost.

Apple claims that the M2 Air offers up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge. The machine also gets two USB Type-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a MagSafe charging slot. The MacBook Air weighs about 1.1kg.
