Apple is likely to launch new AirPods in an affordable range. The tech giant is developing Airpods Lite, which might be less expensive and expected to take on other TWS, which are available in the low-cost segment. Besides, the company is expected to bring affordable AirPods in the second half of the next year. Notably, Apple is sellng four models of AirPods (2nd generation), which are priced at Rs 14,900, AirPods (3rd generation) costs Rs 19,000 AirPods Pro (2nd generation) for Rs 26,900, and AirPods Max which costs Rs 59,900.
Affordable AirPods and New AirPods Max Coming Soon
While the Apple AirPods do not come under the affordable range, popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo tweeted that the Cupertino-based tech giant is planning to launch Airpods for $99, which is less than the second-generation AirPods price. However, this is the second time, when it has been rumored, earlier Jeff Pu from Haitong International Securities shared the same.
He revealed that AirPods demand is likely to decrease this year. Besides, the shipments of the devices are likely to fall to 63 million in 2023 from 73 million in 2022. He also asserts this is mainly due to slow demand for the AirPods 3, and the company is not planning to bring new AirPods this year.
According to the report GSM Arena highlighted that the company is also planning to change AirPods suppliers. In addition, the report reveals that Hon Teng (FIT) will take over from Goertek which is likely to bring several benefits to the firm. Plus, Hon Teng is expected to share the entire process with Luxshare ICT to manufacture the high-end variant of the AirPods.
Additionally, the report states that Apple might use an H1 chipset and a new moniker to bring down the cost of the AirPods like the company Apple reuses its mobile devices to launch the iPhone SE 2nd gen. Apart from that, Kuo also tweeted that Apple is likely to bring new-gen AirPods Max headphones which will be assembled by Luxshare ICT and Hon Teng.
Apple Might Launch Touchscreen Laptop By 2025
According to a Bloomberg report, Apple is likely to MacBook with a touch screen in 2025 and this can be a large update to the Macbook Pro. This is quite surprising as Apple earlier said that touch screens are not good for laptops and can be used in iPads. However, this clearly shows that Apple is trying to take on the ongoing competition in the segment. Furthermore, the report pointed out that the upcoming laptop is likely to carry a simple design and might have a trackpad.
