Apple could launch the new M1X MacBook Pro very soon. According to DigiTimes, the Pro laptops will launch in September. Apple typically reserves its September event for the new iPhones. The company, in the past, has also announced other hardware like Apple Watch, iPads, etc.

DigiTimes claims that Apple plans to unveil the redesigned Pro MacBooks in the late portion of Q3 2021 (July to September). The Cupertino-based American tech giant is known to host its iPhone launch events during the second/ third week of September. If true, the new MacBooks could launch alongside. MacRumors, citing the paywalled DigiTimes report, further stated that Apple has asked suppliers to ramp up the mini-LED production for its mini-LED MacBook.

It further claims although Apple will announce the Pro MacBooks in September, the shipments will peak in October. Therefore, Apple could start shipping the laptops in October or later. Some reports in the past have claimed that the 14-inch model will enter mass production in Q4 2021. The 16-inch model, on the other hand, is tipped to enter mass production in Q1 2022.

These two models will feature a redesigned chassis and magnetic charging, according to a Bloomberg report. They will also come with multiple ports, including the HDMI port and SD card slot.

Apple will also launch two separate chips for the new Pro models. These are codenamed Jade C-Chop and Jade C-Die. Both chips will feature eight high-performance cores and two energy-efficient cores. The difference will lie in the GPU. Either model will come with 16 or 32 GPU cores. The M1 chip, in comparison, came with four performance and four efficiency cores. It also has eight graphics cores. The new chip will also come with support for up to 64GB of RAM as opposed to 16GB on the current M1 chip.
