Furthermore, the all-new Apple Watch is capable of screening heart rhythm to find cardiac irregularities like atrial fibrillation. Apple further adds that it has received a clearance from Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to use Watch Series 4 as a medical device.

The digital crown of the Apple Watch Series 4 has received an overhaul and is now includes haptic feedback. That said, despite all the improvement in the hardware department, the speaker volume on the Apple Watch 4 has been slightly downgraded, as the overall volume is now lower.

Keeping the hardware improvement aside, Apple has completely revamped the watchOS 5 UI to take advantage of the bigger display. Apple has apparently tweaked the watch faces for its Watch Series 4. The all-new smartwatches come with a modified watch face that looks a lot better than the ones in the Apple Watch Series 3. The watch faces are much denser than before and help in showing a lot more information in apps like photos, maps, and calendar at a single glance.


Last but not the least, the new Apple Watch promises an all day long battery life. The company claims up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge. A few variants of the watch come with LTE connectivity.

The Cupertino based firm has priced the standard version of the Apple Watch 4 with GPS at $399 (Rs 28,686), whereas the cellular model would cost slightly higher at $499 (Rs 35,875). Besides, Apple has slashed the price of Watch Series 3, which now starts from $279 (Rs 20,046). The new smartwatches are expected to roll out in US first followed by a subsequent globall roll out to various countries including India.
