India recorded more than 1.7 crore Covic-19 cases so far and out of these over 28 lakh cases are still active and close to 1.43 crore people have recovered after testing positive. Amid the worst-case scenario of the surge in the cases of COVID-19 in India Apple CEO Tim Cook has decided to offer help to India with donations and relief efforts. On April 27th, Tim shared a post on his official Twitter handle announcing that the company will provide help to its Apple family and everyone who is fighting this devastating COVID-19 surge.

“Amid a devastating rise of COVID cases in India, our thoughts are with the medical workers, our Apple family and everyone there who is fighting through this awful stage of the pandemic. Apple will be donating to support and relief efforts on the ground,” Reads Tim’s tweet.

It seems that the Cupertino-based tech giant has understood the seriousness of the COVID-19 surge in India and decided to help the country when it’s needed the most. Amid the high demand for medical oxygen in numerous states in the country, the Ministry of Home Affairs on April 26th assured that India is having enough oxygen stock but due to transportation issues the cylinders are unable to move from one place to another. According to the report, there is no need of creating a panic situation for oxygen.

“We are trying to resolve the issue of its transportation. The government is monitoring oxygen-carrying tankers on a real-time basis through GPS, making them available to hospitals as early as possible,” The Indian Express quoted MHA Additional Secretary Piyush Goyal

The Karnataka government has also imposed a 14-days lockdown in the state and the lockdown will be imposed from April 27, 2021, at 9 PM. During this period public transport will be restricted, but the shops for essential services will remain open from 6 AM to 10 AM every day.

Going with the numbers we can say that the situation is degrading every passing day and it’s recommended to stay at home and avoid going out unnecessarily. Take proper precautions in case you are going out for essentials and medical help.
