Asus Chromebox 4 Mini PC With 10th Gen Intel Core Processors Announced: Price, Specifications

Asus Chromebox 4 launched as the new mini PC based on Chrome OS. The latest mini PC gets its power from the 10th generation Intel Core processors and is the successor of the Cromebox 3, which was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018. The new Chromebox 4 comes with a host of interesting features. The list includes ChromeOS support, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, Wi-Fi 6, up to 3 external display support, and more. Asus Chromebox 4 price, availability

The Asus Chromebox 4 price starts at USD 289, which roughly translates to Rs 21,400 in the US. The device will be available for purchase in the country from December. That said, there is no information on whether it will be available for the other markets including India or not.

The latest Chromebox from Asus comes loaded with a host of interesting features. To start with, the mini PC comes with a range of processor options starting from Intel Celeron-5205U and goes up to 10th generation Intel Core i7-10510U. The device features up to 8GB of DDR4 SO-DIMM RAM. Furthermore, customers can choose up to 64GB of eMMC storage or up to 256GB M.2 SATA SSD option. The mini PC comes with Intel HD Graphics. The Chromebox 4 runs on ChromeOS and one can use thousands of Android apps available on Google Play.

The device comes with support 4K UHD resolution display. The company claims that one can extend 4K UHD visuals to up three displays. This is possible with the help of two HDMI ports and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port. It also supports USB Power Delivery, meaning that Chromebox 4 can charge a connected phone or accessory. Moreover, it can also receive power from a supported display or other devices, which eliminates the need for a separate power adapter.

In terms of security, the company says that the Chromebox 4 automatically installs updates when connected to the internet. Users can easily switch between accounts and there is a Guest mode login that deletes the history and downloaded files when the users exit the session. Moving on, the Asus Chromebox 4 comes with Wi-Fi 6 support along with dual-band Bluetooth 5.0.

In terms of connectivity, it features two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, one audio jack, and one microSD card on the side. On the back, there are up to three USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C, two HDMI, one RJ45, one DC-in, and one Kensington Lock. The device comes with up to 90W power adapter.
