Asus Max Pro M1, Max M1, and Max M2 Get Permanent Price Cut of Up to Rs 1000 in India


In time for the year-end, Taiwanese phone-maker Asus has slashed the prices of its entry-level smartphones. The popular Asus Max M1, which was launched for Rs 7,499 in India last year, is now selling for Rs 5,999. The actual price drop is of Rs 1,000 considering that the phone has been pegged at Rs 6,999 for the last few months.

The Max Pro M1 introduced in April 2018, has also received a price cut. Launched for Rs 10,999, the phone is now down to Rs 7,499. However, the latest discount on this one is only Rs 500 since the Max Pro M1 has been selling for Rs 7,999 after a recent price cut.

Asus has also made the Max M2 a little more affordable. It reached the Indian shores in December 2018 with a starting price of Rs 9,999. But, now you can purchase one for 7,499. Much like the Max Pro M1, this phone too has received a price cut of Rs 500 with previous price cuts taken into consideration. ASUS Max Pro M1, Max M1, and Max M2 Specifications

Asus Max M1

The Asus Max M1 features a 5.4-inch HD+ LCD screen. It is powered by a modest Snapdragon 430 chip from Qualcomm. It has 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. The phone sports a no-frills single 13 MP camera at its back. For selfies, you get an 8 MP front-facing snapper. Other features include 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS. The Asus Max M1 comes with a rear fingerprint sensor and packs in a 4,000 mAh battery.

Asus Max Pro M1

The Max Pro M1 sports a large 6-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset. The base model comes with 3 GB of RAM while you can opt for up to 6 GB of RAM. Moving onto the photography front, the Max Pro M1 offers a dual-camera setup. The entry-level model comes with a 13 MP + 5 MP camera whereas the top model sports a 16 MP + 5 MP module. Similarly, you get an 8 MP or a 16 MP selfie camera. It covers all the connectivity essentials such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS. The phone holds a 5,000 mAh battery.

Asus Max M2

The Max M2 offers a 6.2-inch HD+ LCD screen. At the heart of this handset is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 chip. Depending on the variant, you get 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage or 4 GB RAM + 64 GB RAM. You can expand it further via a microSD card slot. In terms of optics, the handset offers a 13 MP main camera coupled with a 2 MP depth sensor. For selfies, you get an 8 MP front-facing camera. Other specs include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, and 4,000 mAh battery.
