ASUS has launched its first handheld gaming device, the ROG Ally. The new ASUS gaming tool has currently been launched in global markets. It is yet to make its way to India. The ROG Ally packs some powerful hardware in the compact device to offer a superior gaming experience. The new ROG Ally comes with an AMD Z-series processor under the hood. It also packs 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

ASUS ROG Ally Price and Specifications 

ASUS has launched the ROG Ally in two variants. The base configuration has a starting price of $599 (roughly Rs 49,200). There is also a more powerful variant dubbed “Extreme”, which is priced at $699 (roughly Rs 57,400). 

In terms of specs, the ROG Ally features a 7-inch IPS display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio. It has support for a 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of peak brightness. The display also comes with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and Dolby Vision HDR support.

The handheld device has buttons on either side of the display for gaming controls. It also has a dual speaker setup with ASUS’ Smart Amplifier Technology.

Under the hood, the handheld gaming device has up to AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, which is built on AMD’s new Zen 4 architecture. The base configuration has the Ryzen Z1 processor (up to 2.8 Teraflops per second), whereas the more expensive variant features a Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor (up to 8.6 teraflops). Both variants come with AMD Radeon Navi3 Graphics, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD.

The ROG Ally boots Windows 11 out of the box. It comes with three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The gaming device is compatible with games on Steam, EA apps, Epic Games, and Xbox Game Pass.

In terms of I/O, the ROG Ally has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type C port combo port for the ROG XG Mobile Interface. It also comes with support for a UHS-II microSD card reader.

The ROG Ally packs a 40WHr battery with 65W charging support. It weighs about 608 grams and measures 28.0 x 11.1 x 2.12 ~ 3.24 cm. There is no word on the India price of the ROG Ally at the moment. We will share more details as and when available.
