The ASUS ROG Phone, a high-end gaming Android smartphone will officially arrive in India today. The high-end gaming-optimized Android handset with Snapdragon 845 SoC, 8GB RAM, and other top-end features, will sell exclusively on Flipkart.
The ASUS ROG Phone that ushered in a new era of Android smartphones specifically designed for intense mobile gaming sessions, launched in May 2018. Needless to add, the ASUS ROG Phone is one of the highest-end premium flagship smartphones. Moreover, it is designed with gamers as the primary focus. The name of the device itself is amply indicative of the ASUS smartphone. The phone wears the coveted Republic of Gamers or ROG emblem. ASUS doesn’t grant the moniker to just any device from its vast inventory. The ROG sub-brand stands for uncompromised specifications, hardware and top-end gaming features. The ASUS ROG Phone is certainly no exception.

ASUS ROG Gaming Phone Launch Time, Live Streaming Details
The ASUS ROG Phone will launch in India today, on November 29, 2018. The company recently sent out media invites for the launch event. The invite mentioned the company will launch the ROG Phone, and added the tagline #GameChanger Coming to India. The launch is scheduled to take at 12PM. ASUS India has setup a dedicated Facebook Event that will Live Stream the launch.
In addition to Facebook, ASUS has also setup a Live Stream on YouTube. Interested viewers can simply click on the video below to access the live stream of the event when it starts tomorrow at noon.

ASUS ROG Phone Expected India Price, Availability
The ASUS ROG Phone is available in the U.S. The base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory retails for $899.99, which roughly translates to around INR 65,000. The top-end variant packs 8GB RAM and 512GB internal memory and retails for $1,099 or about INR 79,000. Interestingly, the 8GB/512GB variant wasn’t available in the U.S, until very recently.

It is quite likely ASUS may slightly reduce the pricing of the ROG Phone in India to attract buyers. Needless to mention, the pricing is certainly on the higher side, but ASUS is targeting a rather select group of end customers who prefer top-end gaming hardware. Incidentally, there’s no official confirmation about actual sell dates of the ROG Phone. It is quite likely that Flipkart may begin taking pre-orders for the ASUS gaming smartphone with a differed delivery schedule.

The ASUS ROG Phone is undeniably a high-end, premium, gaming-centric Android smartphone. It features a 6-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 1080 × 2160 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and 10000:1 contrast ratio. Interestingly, the device completely ditches the notch, and has a rectangular display with a little thick bezels. Qualcomm’s current flagship processor, the Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with Adreno 630 GPU, and 8GB RAM, powers the ASUS ROG Phone.
The smartphone has rear dual camera setup consisting of 12MP + 8MP sensors, while there’s a 12MP front-facing unit. A large 4,000mAh battery, vapor cooling, external active cooling fan adapter add-on, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi, USB Type-C port, NFC, and 3.5mm headphone jack sum up the rest of the highlights of the ASUS ROG Phone.
The ASUS ROG Phone will compete against Xiaomi Black Shark and Razer Phone. However, there is considerably difference in pricing between the Android gaming smartphones.
