ASUS ROG Phone 5 Launch Date
ASUS has created a dedicated web page that shows a launch poster including a clock ticking backwards. According to the web page, the ASUS ROG Phone 5 is slated to launch on March 10 at 4:30 PM as per Indian Standard time. The official page has also confirmed the model name of the phone as ASUS ROG Phone 5. The microsite also suggests that the phone will be available for sale via the e-commerce site Flipkart.
ASUS ROG Phone 5 Expected Specifications
Earlier the ASUS ROG Phone 5 was spotted on various certification sites like NCC, 3C, and TEENA. Thanks to the listing we get to know more about the upcoming gaming smartphone. According to the leaked renders, the ROG Phone 5 is said to follow the same design as last year’s ROG Phone 3. The renders listed on Weibo suggests that the rear panel of the handset looks familiar except for some aesthetic changes like “05” branding and more.
The gaming smartphone was listed on the TENNA listing with model number I005DA, but the listing didn’t showcase any “05” branding or secondary display at the rear panel. This means it’s still uncertain whether the handset will be launched with a secondary screen or not.
Going with the previous reports, the ASUS ROG Phone 5 is tipped to arrive with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ support. Geekbench listing suggests that the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship 888 SoC, clubbed with Adreno 660 GPU and backed by at least 8GB RAM and up to 16GB RAM.
Thanks to 3C certification we get to know that the ROG Phone 5 is expected to be fulled by a massive 6000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The handset is expected to run on Android 11 with ROG UI on top and support WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Type C, and more among others.
ASUS ROG Phone 5 Expected India Price
ASUS ROG Phone 3 was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 55,000. Considering the price of the predecessor we can safely assume that the upcoming ROG Phone 5 will be launched with a starting price of Rs 60,000. We recommend you to take this information with a pinch of salt and wait for the official announcement.
