Asus has refreshed its gaming smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the ROG Phone 5S series. The company has launched two premium smartphones in India that offer top-tier hardware. The ROG Phone 5S series was launched in Europe and other markets late last year.

The devices come with a Snapdragon 888+ SoC under the hood. They also support a buttery smooth 144Hz refresh rate display. Asus’ latest gaming smartphones also support a bunch of gaming smartphone accessories for an enhanced experience. Asus ROG Phone 5S series price in India

Starting with the ROG Phone 5S, the device comes in two storage options. The 8GB + 128GB storage option is priced at Rs 49,999, whereas the 12GB + 256GB option is priced at Rs 57,999. 

The ROG Phone 5S Pro comes with 18GB + 512GB for Rs 79,999. Both devices come in Black, White colour options and go on sale starting February 18 via Flipkart.

Specifications and features

Both ROG flagship smartphones share many specs. They have a 6.78-inch E4 AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display has support for a 144Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The screen is HDR10+-certified and has a claimed touch latency of 24ms. 

Asus is also using Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus on the ROG Phone 5s series for added screen protection. The Pro model also gets a ROG Vision Colour Display on the back and an RGB light inside the logo for a gamer phone look.

The phones share a Snapdragon 888+ processor and Adreno 660 GPU. They pack a 6,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. The gaming smartphones also come with dual ultrasonic AirTrigger sensors and dual capacitive triggers on the back. Asus will pack its AeroActive Cooler accessory that comes with dual physical trigger buttons in the Pro model’s retail box.

The smartphones have two USB Type-C ports – one on the side and one at the bottom edge. In terms of optics, the phones have a 24MP front camera sensor. They come with a triple-camera setup on the back. There is a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor along with a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro camera.
