ASUS is gearing up for the launch of the new ROG Phone 6D series. The company will announce the new ROG Phone 6D and the 6D Ultimate as its new gaming smartphones with a Dimensity 9000+ SoC. Alongside, ASUS might also unveil a new variant of the ROG Phone 6. This upcoming variant will be called the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition.
The company has not confirmed any details about the special variant. However, a new report by 91Mobiles, citing tipster Evan Blass, has revealed the design renders of the upcoming gaming phone. Let’s take a look at the ASUS ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition design renders, specifications and other details.
ASUS ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition
The ASUS ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition will be a special variant of the gaming phone with some design changes and software tweaks. The phone has an all-black colour design with some graphic accents on the back. The device is also said to get a few software-based themes and skins inspired by the DC superhero.
The Batman Edition will feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood, which is also found in the standard ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro. The special edition will also pack the same specs found in the standard models.
This means that the Batman Edition of the ROG Phone 6 will sport a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It will also come with a 720Hz touch sampling rate support and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
On the back, there will be a triple-camera setup. The ROG Phone 6 has a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro camera. There is also a 12MP Sony IMX663 front camera sensor.
For thermal management, the device will have multiple layers and components, such as a vapour chamber, two layers of enlarged graphite sheets, etc. ASUS will also offer several accessories, such as AeroActive Cooler 6 fan.
The phone will run Android 12 out of the box. It will have a layer of ROG UI on top of Android. There will be a 6000 mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The ROG Phone 6 series weighs about 228 grams and is 10.39mm thick. We can expect the Batman Edition to also offer the same dimensions.
