Asus has confirmed the launch of its next gaming smartphone. The company will launch the Asus ROG Phone 6 on July 5. Yes, we are still more than a month away from the launch. Ahead of the official launch event, Asus has confirmed some key details of the ROG Phone 6. The device will launch globally on July 5. It will also feature Qualcomm’s latest flagship mobile platform.

Asus ROG Phone 6 Specifications Confirmed Ahead of July Launch
Asus has confirmed that the ROG Phone 6 will debut globally on July 5. It is unknown if the phone will be launched in India alongside the global event. While we wait for that, the company has confirmed that the gaming flagship phone will come with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. This is not a surprise as the upcoming ROG Phone was expected to feature Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset for smartphones.
For those unaware, the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC is a successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It is claimed to offer 10 per cent more power while offering up to 30 per cent better efficiency. In addition to this, the 4nm chipset has a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz. It continues to have a 1 + 3 + 4 cluster with one prime core, three high-performance cores and four efficiency cores.
In addition to this, Asus confirmed that the upcoming gaming phone will come with a 165Hz refresh rate support. The teaser image also reveals that the phone will have slightly thick top and bottom bezels. Asus is also likely to offer a stereo speaker setup for an enhanced gaming and multimedia experience. Of course, the phone should have an AMOLED display.
Other details of the phone have been kept under wraps. We can expect the phone to pack a 6000 mAh battery and offer 65W fast charging at least. There will be a cooling chamber under the hood to keep the heat under check. More details about the phone should be available in the coming days.
