ASUS ROG Phone 6 Ultimate with 18GB RAM, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC Spotted on Geekbench Ahead of July 5 Launch

ASUS is all set to launch the ROG Phone 6 series globally on July 5. Based on the last-gen devices, we are expecting three phones in the upcoming series. The ASUS ROG Phone 6, ASUS ROG Phone 6 Pro, and ASUS ROG Phone 6 Ultimate are expected to launch next week.

Ahead of the launch, the ASUS ROG 6 series devices were spotted on the TENAA website, Geekbench website, 3C Website, and more via leaks. Now, we have spotted the new variant of the ASUS ROG Phone 6, which is quite possibly the ASUS ROG Phone 6 Ultimate. The listing has also revealed the phone’s processor, RAM, and OS details. Let’s take a look at the details.

ROG Phone 6 Ultimate Listed on Geekbench

The Asus ROG Phone Ultimate has been spotted on the website with the AI2201_B model number. The device will come with an octa-core SoC with four cores clocked at 2.02GHz and four cores at 3.19GHz. This is the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset with Adreno 730 GPU. This device will come with 18GB of RAM and will run on Android 12 out of the box. As for the score, has secured 1317 in the single-core test and 4204 in the multi-core test.

In the last-gen gaming series, only the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate had 18GB of RAM and we expect the same with the ROG Phone 6 series. The major differentiators between the vanilla, Pro, and Ultimate models have been in terms of RAM and additional gaming features in the past.

As for the other specs, the ROG Phone 6 series is expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and 165Hz screen refresh rate. All three phones in the series are expected to feature the same Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The Pro model is expected to come with 16GB of RAM and the Ultimate model is likely to feature 18GB of RAM.

Further, the ROG Phone 6 is said to come equipped with a 6000mAh battery and will offer 65W fast charging support. In the camera department, the phone is expected to feature a 64MP primary shooter. The latest TENAA listing revealed the phone’s design. It will come with a similar design bold design language as the ROG Phone 5 with a triple camera setup, LED flash module, and a rear display (likely to be on Ultimate only). The left bottom side of the back panel will house the ROG logo and Tencent branding.
