ASUS has confirmed the launch of a new ROG Phone. The company will launch the ASUS ROG Phone 6D Ultimate as its new premium gaming smartphone. The ROG Phone 6D will launch globally with a flagship MediaTek processor, which is a first for the brand. The new variant of the ROG Phone is coming months after the launch of the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro.
ASUS has confirmed that the 6D Ultimate will feature a new MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC under the hood. The flagship MediaTek chipset was launched earlier this year. It comes with five per cent CPU gains and about 10 per cent more powerful GPU over the vanilla Dimensity 9000. ASUS ROG Phone 6D Ultimate Specifications
The ASUS ROG Phone 6D Ultimate will launch on September 19 worldwide. It is expected to launch soon in India following the global launch. ASUS has not confirmed any details about the device’s India launch. However, considering the more premium ROG Phone 6 Pro is available in India, we can expect the 6D Ultimate to be available soon as well.
The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate with the Dimensity 9000+ SoC was recently spotted on AnTuTu with a score of 11,46,594. Other than the processor, the phone is expected to pack the same specs found in the ROG Phone 6 series with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
This means that the 6D Ultimate will feature a 6.78-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 165Hz refresh rate support. The screen has a 720Hz touch sampling rate and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
On the back, the device will have a triple-camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera. It will also feature a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro camera. The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate could feature a 12MP front camera.
It will pack a 6000 mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The device will also come with multiple thermal management components to keep the temperature in check. With all the hardware packed inside the glass body, the ROG Phone 6D could be around 10mm thick. It will run Android 12 out of the box.
