Asus has announced the launch date for its upcoming ROG gaming smartphone – the Asus ROG Phone 7. The company took to social media channels to announce that the Asus ROG Phone 7 will make its debut on April 13 in the Indian market. Alongside India, the Asus ROG Phone 7 will launch in Taipei, Berlin, and New York on the same day.

The Asus ROG Phone 7 is the upcoming gaming smartphone from the brand. The upcoming ROG series smartphone has already been spotted on the Geekbench benchmark database. As per the benchmark listing, the Asus ROG Phone 7 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Let us take a look at what we know about the Asus ROG Phone 7.

Asus ROG Phone 7: What We Know

The Asus ROG Phone 7 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, as revealed in the Geekbench listing. To those unaware, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is Qualcomm’s top-tier processor as of now and it is manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process. It comes equipped with an Adreno 740 GPU. We can expect the ROG Phone 7 to make use of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone might feature 16GB of memory and will come pre-loaded with Android 13.

The Asus ROG Phone 7 was spotted on China’s TENAA certification website which revealed some of its key specifications. As per the TENAA listing, the Asus ROG Phone 7 will be equipped with a 5850mAH battery unit. Asus might market it as a 6000mAh battery. This means that in terms of battery size, the Asus ROG Phone 7 won’t be any different from its predecessor. To those unaware, the Asus ROG Phone 6 comes equipped with a 6000mAH battery.

The Asus ROG Phone 7 has already cleared 3C certification. The 3C certification listing for the gaming-focused smartphone revealed support for 65W fast charging, which is the same as its predecessor. The Asus ROG Phone 7 is expected to offer a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and 165Hz refresh rate. Its predecessor – ROG Phone 6 offered a 165Hz AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution.
