ASUS is gearing up for the launch of the ROG Phone 7 series. The company is expected to launch multiple phones in the ROG Phone 7 series lineup worldwide. As of now, the company is rumoured to launch the ROG Phone 7, ROG Phone 7 Ultimate and ROG Phone 7D. In India, ASUS is expected to launch the ROG Phone 7 series as a successor to the ROG Phone 6 series from last year. The launch date of the ROG Phone 7 series is unknown at the moment. While we wait for some more details about the same, a new report by 91Mobiles has revealed some key performance unit details about the upcoming gaming smartphone.

ASUS ROG Phone 7 Indian Variant Geekbench Listing
The ASUS ROG Phone 7 Indian variant has been spotted on Geekbench with the model number ASUS_AI2205_C. It is expected to launch soon. The upcoming gaming smartphone from ASUS will feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The octa-core SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.19GHz. It also has four performance cores clocked at 2.8GHz and three efficiency cores clocked at 2.02GHz.
The variant of the ROG Phone 7 Indian variant listed on Geekbench has 16GB of RAM. We can expect the phone to come with at least 256GB of storage. The phone runs Android 13 out of the box. It should have a layer of the ROG UI custom skin on top of Android.
The Indian variant of the ROG Phone 7 scored 1958 and 5238 points on Geekbench. In comparison, another variant of the phone, which was spotted on Geekbench with the model number AI2205_B and the same SoC, scored 2022 and 5719 points in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.
The device was also spotted on the 3C certification website with the model number AI2205_A. It revealed that the phone will support 65W fast charging out of the box. Considering the recent generations of ROG Phones have packed a 6000mAh battery, we can expect the same for the ROG Phone 7 series as well.
The phone is also expected to feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and support for at least 165Hz refresh rate. We can also expect the ROG Phone 7 series to come with some form of a cooling mechanism under the hood for thermal management.
ASUS is rumoured to launch the ROG Phone models in the third quarter of 2023. Other details about the upcoming ASUS gaming phones are unknown. We will share more details as and when available.
