ASUS ROG Phone 7 series is set to launch on April 13. The company is likely to launch multiple phones in the lineup. These are likely to be called the ROG Phone 7, ROG Phone 7 Pro, ROG Phone 7D and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. The company has not confirmed any details about the phones other than revealing the launch date. Some details about the upcoming gaming phones from ASUS have leaked in the past. Now, the ROG Phone 7 has visited the NCC certification website ahead of its launch.
The live images of the vanilla model suggest that the design might look a lot similar to the ROG Phone 6 series. Let’s take a look at the ASUS ROG Phone 7 live images, design, specifications and other details known so far.
ASUS ROG Phone 7 Design Leaked
The ASUS ROG Phone 7 will launch as a new gaming phone for the global market. The ROG Phone 7 series is confirmed to debut on April 13. Ahead of the launch, a new set of live images have leaked online. The leaked images of the vanilla ROG Phone 7 reveal that the phone has the same design as the ROG Phone 6. It will have a white-coloured rear panel with some graphics on the back. We can also see a cutout for the dot-matrix lighting on the back.
On the front, the phone continues to have slightly thick bezels around the display. The ROG Phone 7 will have a front camera at the right side of the top bezel. The USB Type-C port and the 3.5mm headphone jack at located on either side of the bottom edge. The phone also has dual speakers, which are located at the edge of the top and bottom bezels. The power and volume buttons seem to be located on the right edge of the phone.
The images further reveal the battery, charging adapter, case and the Aero Active Cooler accessory, which will help bring the temperature down. The ROG Phone 7 will pack a dual-cell battery, each having a typical capacity of 3000mah. Combined, the device will have a 6000mAh battery. There will be support for 65W fast charging as well.
Other details of the phone have leaked as well. There will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. The phone will launch with at least 16GB of RAM, according to a Geekbench listing. As expected, the phone will boot with Android 13 software out of the box. It will have a layer of ROG UI on top.
In terms of display, the ROG Phone 7 will be quite tall. The phone is said to sport a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate support. There will be support for HDR10+ certification and a 720Hz touch sampling rate.
In terms of optics, the ROG Phone 7 is said to feature a Sony IMX766 50MP main camera, coupled with a 13MP ultra-wide camera and 5MP macro sensors. There will be a 13MP front camera.
