Meanwhile, a new leak has revealed the price range of the vanilla ASUS ROG Phone 7 price in India. Let’s take a look at everything we know about the upcoming ROG Phone 7 series ahead of the global launch.
ASUS ROG Phone 7 Launch: Here’s How Much the Gaming Phone Might Cost in India
The ASUS ROG Phone 7 will sit at the bottom of the flagship gaming smartphone lineup launching in India and other markets on April 13. ASUS will announce the official pricing details at the launch event. However, a new leak by tipster Yogesh Brar has revealed the price of the vanilla model in India. The ROG Phone 7, according to the tipster, will be priced between Rs 70,000 and Rs 80,000 in India. The tipster notes that the base model of the ROG Phone 7 will offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There will be a 16GB + 512GB storage option as well.
The ROG Phone 6 was launched at a starting price of Rs 71,999 for the base 12GB + 256GB storage option. Therefore, it would not be a surprise if the successor model is priced slightly higher considering the rising cost of components and macroeconomic factors.
In addition to the pricing details, the tipster also reiterated some of the previously leaked specs of the vanilla model. The ROG Phone 7 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. It will have a peak clock speed of 3.19GHz. The SoC will be paired with an Adreno 740 GPU.
The gaming phone will pack a beefy 6000mAh battery. It will offer support for 65W fast charging. ASUS has typically packed a 30W charger in the box. Therefore, it is likely that the ROG Phone 7 series will also come with the same charging brick. The design of the phone has leaked as well, which shows an identical design to the ROG Phone 6. There is a triple-camera setup on the back. It will come with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). There will also be a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro sensor. The ROG Phone 7 will support 8K video recording as well.
The phone will feature a stereo speaker setup. It will sport a tall 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with support for a 165Hz refresh rate. The screen is also likely to offer HDR10+ certification, high touch sampling rate, etc. There will be an in-display fingerprint scanner. The 32MP front camera will be placed on the top bezel.
