ASUS is gearing up for the launch of its new ROG Phone series worldwide. The company has confirmed that the next gaming smartphones under the ROG Phone series will launch on April 13. ASUS has only revealed the moniker, which is the ROG Phone 7 series but did not reveal the number of models launching in the lineup. Now, a new leak has revealed the possible number of phones launching in the ROG Phone 7 series and the specifications of the devices as well.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav claimed that there would not be a ROG Phone 7 Pro model this time around. The company will instead launch two devices in the lineup. Let’s take a look at the ASUS ROG Phone 7 series specifications, features and other details known so far.
ASUS ROG Phone 7 Series Specifications Tipped
The ASUS ROG Phone 7 series will include two smartphones this time around. According to a new leak, there will be the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate launching under the new flagship gaming series.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav revealed that ASUS will launch its upcoming ROG Phone series gaming smartphones with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. This was kind of obvious as ASUS’ flagship phone series feature the top-end SoCs available fat the time of the launch.
The ROG Phone 7 series could possibly get the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz and not the overclocked version found in the Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
The tipster also revealed that the phones will feature a triple-camera setup on the back. The primary camera sensor is not likely to change compared to the ROG Phone 6 series. There will be a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera sensor. It will be accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide camera and an 8MP macro sensor, according to Yadav,
On the front, there will be a 32MP front camera sensor. The ROG Phone 7 series will measure 173 x 77 x 10.3mm. The devices will also be quite heavy at 239 grams.
The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate will pack more RAM and storage. It is said to offer 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The vanilla model could come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
As expected, the devices will run Android 13 out of the box. They will have a layer of ROG UI on top of Android.
Some other details of the phones have leaked in the past. The two devices will pack a beefy 6000mAh battery under the hood. There will be support for 65W fast charging out of the box. The ROG Phone 7 series will sport a tall 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and 165Hz refresh rate.

The devices are also likely to feature some high-end cooling system under the hood to keep thermals in check. The pricing and sale date of the ROG Phone 7 series will be announced at the event on April 13. We will share more details once available.
