ASUS introduced the ASUS ROG Phone 6 series in India and the global market last year. The ASUS ROG Phone 6 series made its debut with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and Dimensity 9000+ chipset. Now, the brand is prepping to introduce the successor to the ROG Phone 6 series in the form of the ASUS ROG Phone 7 lineup. As per the recent leak, the upcoming ROG Phone 7 series is tipped to include three devices vanilla ASUS ROG Phone 7, ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, and ROG Phone 7D.
While the launch date of these devices remains unknown, the phones in the ROG Phone 7 series have started appearing on benchmarking websites. One of the model in the ROG Phone 7 series namely, the ROG Phone 7D has appeared on Geekbench ahead of launch.
ASUS ROG Phone 7D Specifications Revealed
As per the Geekbench listing, the ASUS ROG Phone 7D (AI2205_D) will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The device will pack up to 16GB of RAM. On the software side of things, the smartphone will boot Android 13 out of the box. In the Geekbench test result, the handset has managed to pull off 2012 and 5697 points in the single and multi-core test respectively. And these are only the details revealed by the preliminary Geekbench test result.
A few days back the specifications of the ROG Phone 7 series were leaked by the folks at The Tech Outlook. As per the report, the ROG Phone 7 series phones will run Android 13 OS, and the devices will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Furthermore, the report also revealed that the vanilla ROG Phone 7 will come with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate will ship with 512GB of internal storage. Furthermore, we can expect all three phones are likely to feature an AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate.
The rest of the details of the ROG Phone 7 series such as display size, camera specifications, and battery information remain unknown currently. The previous leak suggests that the ROG Phone 7 series will make its debut in the third quarter of 2023. As the days pass, we shall get to learn more about the ASUS ROG Phone 7 series smartphones.
