ASUS is gearing up for the launch of the ASUS ROG Phone 8 series smartphones. The upcoming ROG Phone 8 lineup is set to include three devices such as the ASUS ROG Phone 8, ROG Phone 8 Pro, and the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate as revealed by the IMEI database listing previously. A couple of weeks back, the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Ultimate was spotted on the Geekbench website. The benchmarking listing confirmed that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Now, in a recent development, the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Ultimate has received the 3C certification in China.

ASUS ROG Phone 8 Ultimate Will Offer 65W Fast Charging Support

The 3C certification reveals that the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 8 Ultimate (ASUS_AI2401_A) will be offering 65W fast charging support. The listing also confirms that the device will have 5G support. Besides, the fast charging and 5G connectivity details, no other specification of the device is revealed by the 3C certification.


As revealed by the Geekbench listing previously, the device will pack up to 6GB of RAM. The smartphone will be running Android 14 out of the box. At present, the other details about the ROG Phone 8 series remain unknown currently. We might get to learn more information about the ROG Phone 8, ROG Phone 8 Pro, and the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate if they arrive on more certifications in the coming few days.

The upcoming ROG Phone 8 series will be arriving as a successor to the ROG Phone 7 lineup. To recall, the ROG Phone 7 made its debut in April this year, and the lineup includes two devices namely the ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. The ASUS ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that has a 1080 x 2448 pixels resolution, HDR10+ support, and a 165Hz refresh rate.

These smartphones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Both the devices pack up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. These handsets boot Android 13 out of the box. As far as the rest of the key features go, both smartphones feature a 50MP triple-camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Both the device packs a 6,000mAh battery which supports 65W fast charging.
