ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo

Taiwanese PC hardware and smartphone maker ASUS introduced a slew of new notebooks at its Computex press conference in Taipei. The most impressive of the new products announced by ASUS at Computex this year is undoubtedly the ZenBook Pro Duo. It is the world’s first laptop to come with not one but two 4K resolution displays.

ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo

The new ZenBook Pro Duo is the company’s flagship laptop featuring a 15-inch 4K OLED primary display and a secondary full-width IPS touch-enabled display panel above the keyboard. Unlike the primary display, which uses a 16:9 aspect ratio, the secondary “ScreenPad Plus” display has a 32:9 aspect ratio. Despite a large secondary display, the ZenBook Pro Duo does include a full-sized keyboard along with a trackpad placed on the right. Users can move windows from the primary display to the “ScreenPad Plus” and can even have up to three windows running on it at a single time.

Aimed primarily at creative professionals, the ZenBook Pro Duo features up to an eight-core Intel Core i9 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU.  A more affordable version of the ZenBook Pro Duo has been announced as well, dubbed ZenBook Duo. It features a smaller 14-inch primary screen and a 12.6-inch secondary screen with Full HD resolution. When it comes to hardware, the ZenBook Duo will be available with up to an Intel Core i7 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU.

ASUS ZenBook 15, ZenBook 14, and ZenBook 13

ASUS also introduced three new ZenBook models featuring the company’s ScreenPad 2.0 secondary screen cum touchpad. The ZenBook 15 comes with a 15.6-inch 4K UHD IPS display with an impressive 92% screen-to-body ratio. In terms of hardware, the notebook comes with up to an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8565U processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q GPU.

ASUS ZenBook 14 has a smaller 14-inch Full HD IPS display featuring an identical 92% screen-to-body ratio as the ZenBook 15. The notebook comes with up to an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and has an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU taking care of the graphics processing.

Finally, we have the ZenBook 13 with a 13.3-inch Full HD resolution IPS display boasting a whopping 95% screen-to-body ratio. Like the other two new ZenBook models, the ZenBook 15 can be configured with up to an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM. While the base variant of the notebook features Intel UHD 620 graphics, the more expensive configurations will come with an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU with 2GB VRAM.

ASUS VivoBook S14 and S15

For consumers that are on the lookout for more affordable options, ASUS introduced new VivoBook S14 and S15 ultraportable notebooks. While being more affordable than the ZenBook range, the VivoBook S14 and S15 come with the same ScreenPad 2.0 secondary display. The new models come in five attractive color choices – Moss Green, Cobalt Blue, Gun Metal, Punk Pink, and Transparent Silver.

Both the VivoBook S14 and S15 notebooks can be configured with up to an 8th Gen Whiskey Lake Core i7-8565U processor and 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. While the VivoBook S14 has a 14-inch Full HD NanoEdge display, the VivoBook S15 offers a 15-inch NanoEdge display with the same Full HD resolution. More expensive variants of both notebooks will ship with an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM. The new VivoBook notebooks also feature the company’s ErgoLift hinge mechanism, Wi-Fi 6 antennas, and an IR sensor for Windows Hello facial recognition.
