A couple of days back, Asus surprised everyone on Twitter hinting towards the launch of a new Asus OLED laptop on March 3 in India. While everyone was waiting for Asus to launch new OLED TV, it turns out that the company was teasing the launch of a new detachable Windows laptop with an OLED screen all along. Called the Asus Vivobook 13 Slate OLED, this is the company’s brand new 2-in-1. With this new launch, the brand is aiming users would use the new Slate OLED as their Personal OLED TV. The Vivobook 13 Slate OLED comes in three configurations, the 4GB+128GB variant costs Rs 45,990, 4GB+128GB variant with sleeve, stand, stylus, stylus holder costs Rs 57,990, and top of the line 8GB+256GB with all the accessories costs Rs 62,990. In terms of availability, the device will be available in Amazon, Flipkart, and offline stores. The mid variant with 4GB+128GB with all four accessories will be offline exclusive and will be available via Asus store, Reliance Digital, Croma, and Vijay Sales. Asus Vivobook 13 Slate OLED Specification and Features

Starting off with the display, the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED comes with a 13.3-inch OLED display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 1920 x 1080 resolution, up to 550 nits of peak brightness, Dolby Vision support and lastly, it is also certified by TÜV Rheinland and Pantone validated for colour accuracy. This is also the world’s first 13.3-inch OLED Windows detachable laptop. The slate also comes with a new ASUS Pen 2.0 Stylus (4096 pressure levels, 266 Hz sampling rate), a magnetically detachable full-size keyboard, and a detachable hinge that goes almost flat at 170-degree.


The Asus Pen 2.0 supports charging via a hidden USB-C port. You can charge up to 100% in just 30min which gets you over 140 hours of use. The Asus Vivobook 13 Slate OLED will also come with support for a slim and detachable keyboard, which attaches magnetically and provides the best typing experience. Further, the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED features quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The device pulls power from a 50Whr battery unit, which is rated to last up to 9 hours of battery life on a single charge. Under the hood, the device is backed by Intel Pentium Silver N6000 Processor, Intel UHD Graphics with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMc or 256GB SSD options. The machine runs on Windows 11 operating system.

Other features include Wi-Fi 6(802.11ax)+Bluetooth 5.2 (Dual band) 2*2, 65W charger, 0.78 kg weight, 7.9 mm thickness, Corning Gorilla Glass, and MS Office Home and Student 2021. Lastly, in terms of port options, you get two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports with support for external display and power delivery, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro SD card reader.
