Asus India has posted a tweet on its Twitter informing its audience of a launch event on the 17th of October. The ZenFone Max M2 and the ZenFone Max Pro M2 will be launched at the event!

In the recent past, the company has made tremendous progress with its ZenFone series of smartphones and still continues to do so. Speaking of this, we are aware of the two upcoming smartphones by Asus, the ZenFone Max M2 and the ZenFone Max Pro M2. Both devices recently even received certification by EEC. Just a few days back, leaked media invites to an Asus launch event surfaced online. Guess what? It appears that that leak and the rumours were true. Asus has taken to Twitter to formally announce its global launch event on October 17.

Asus ZenFone Max M2 and ZenFone Max Pro M2 Official Launch Date
The company has just posted a tweet on the Asus India Twitter page. The tweet informs about two upcoming ZenFone smartphones. The company will have a global launch event on October 17. Along with the global launch event, a live stream will also be available for those who cannot physically be present for the event. As of now, this is all the news relating to the launch event. The company hasn’t revealed which smartphones will be launched. The image posted on Twitter confirms the launch of two new smartphones.
These two smartphones are going to be a Flipkart exclusives. Going by popular belief, these smartphones are bound to be a part of the ZenFone series, the ZenFone Max M2 and the ZenFone Max Pro M2. These devices are the successors to the ZenFone Max Pro M1 and ZenFone Max M1. Both of those devices launched little less than a year back. Perhaps, Asus is trying to be at the top of its game by launch its successors a tad bit early.

Considering its 2018 and smartphone manufacturers are pushing the limits of technology, we’d expect to see the latest and greatest tech on these smartphones. However, that may not be the case. Three characteristic features of 2018 smartphones include a notched display, in-display fingerprint sensor, and a dual-camera setup. In all likelihood, the Asus ZenFone Max M2 and ZenFone Max Pro M2 will have a notched display and dual-camera setup but may not have an in-display fingerprint sensor. This is because the technology is quite new and has just been adopted by a few companies.
Surprisingly, Asus has managed to keep both devices a secret for quite long, till now. No features or specifications of either of the smartphones have been confirmed. In fact, there are just a few leaks regarding both devices. The only way to know more about the device is to tune into the live stream of the launch event on October 17.
