Not many people have heard about black tourism. It is basically all about visiting historical places where deaths and tragedies have happened. This is the subject of Asvins, a recently released Tamil movie with Vasanth Ravi in the lead, and it is now streaming on the digital giant Netflix.

The date was announced by Netflix on their social media accounts.  Asvins, a film directed by German independent filmmaker Tarun Teja, debuted in theatres on June 23. The short film Tarun made during the lockdown served as the inspiration for the movie. The movie is going to be released in multiple languages by the streamer.

Official Trailer and Plot

Five Indian YouTubers are given the task of exploring a mysterious abandoned mansion in London: Arjun (Vasanth Ravi), Ritu (Saraswathi Menon), Grace, Varun (Muralitharan), and Rahul (Udhayadeep). Aarthi Rajagopal (Vimala Raman), an archaeologist and specialist in religious ceremonies, originally owned the building. Despite being aware of the risks, the five friends enter the estate, and as soon as they do, each of them begins to have paranormal encounters that make their lives miserable. The movie’s plot centers on their ability to escape the mansion or defend themselves against paranormal threats.

The cast also includes Vimala Raman, Muralidaran, Sarashwathi Menon, UdhayaDeep, and Simran Pareek in addition to Vasanth Ravi.  Under his production company Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra (SVCC), BVSN Prasad produced the movie with Praveen Daniel on board as a co-producer. Vijay Siddharth is the composer of the movie’s music. The film’s editor was Venkat Raajen, while the director of photography was Edwin Sakay. The screenplay was written by Tarun Teja Mallareddy.
