The CMF Buds 2 Plus TWS earbuds have received FCC certification in the US. To recall, Nothing launched its sub-brand CMF in 2023 to offer well-designed phones, wearables, and accessories at affordable prices. Apart from the CMF Phone 1, the brand has introduced several other devices, including the CMF Watch Pro 2, CMF Buds Pro 2, CMF Buds, and CMF Neckband Pro.

While Nothing is gearing up to launch the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro globally, including in India, on March 3, it has yet to introduce a CMF product this year. Now that the CMF Buds 2 Plus has received FCC certification, they may launch soon as CMF’s first device of the year. It remains to be seen whether they will be unveiled alongside the Phone (3a) series or at a later date.

CMF Buds 2 Plus TWS earbuds details emerge via FCC certification

As seen in the schematics revealed via FCC certification, the CMF Buds 2 Plus’ case will look almost identical to the CMF Buds Pro 2. It features a square design with rounded corners, measuring 73mm x 64mm, and includes a Smart Dial—a circular module that will possibly allow users to adjust volume and use pressable controls. The “CMF by Nothing” branding is also visible at the bottom-right corner of the device’s front.

The Buds 2 Plus’ case weighs 105 grams and houses two earbuds with a short stem, similar to the Buds Pro 2. The FCC images confirm that the device carries the B184 model number, and one of the images shows its marketing name as CMF Buds 2 Plus. It will be manufactured in China and imported by Nothing’s division in India.

In terms of specifications, the FCC certification reveals that each earbud will have a 53mAh battery, while the case will house a 460mAh battery. The Buds 2 Plus supports BR-EDR-BLE, meaning it offers Bluetooth Classic (BR/EDR) for audio streaming and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for power-efficient connectivity. Additionally, the charging case supports 3W input and provides 1.2W output, while the earbuds charge at 0.6W each.
