Apple is working on the launch of new Beats wireless earbuds. The company is likely to launch the Beats Studio Buds+ as its new pair of truly wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds in the US and other markets. Beats has not yet officially confirmed any details about the launch. However, the launch of the upcoming Studio Buds+ seems imminent as details about the retail units have been spotted online. A new leak by tipster Ben Geskin has revealed the specifications and features of the upcoming Beats earbuds.
The tipster uploaded multiple images of the retail unit’s box, which not only reveals the design but also confirms some of the key specifications and features of the upcoming Studio Buds+. Let’s take a look at the Beats Studio Buds+ specifications, features and other details revealed ahead of its launch.
Beats Studio Buds+: What We Know So Far
Beats might launch the Studio Buds+ TWS earbuds very soon. A new leak has revealed some details about the upcoming Beats earbuds ahead of the launch. Tipster Geskin has revealed the design of the upcoming earbuds, courtesy of the retail boxes. The images confirm that the Studio Buds+ will have a compact, in-ear design. The outer end of the earbuds are slightly tall and flat with the Beats logo on it. We can also see a cutout on the outside for the microphone.
Beats will launch its upcoming TWS earbuds in two colours — Black and White. The retail box also confirms some key details about the earbuds. For starters, the Studio Buds+ will offer support for active noise cancellation (ANC). The earbuds will also support for Transparency mode, which can be useful when the user is on the move.
In addition to this, the retail box confirms that the Studio Buds+ will offer up to 36 hours of battery life. This is when ANC is disabled. Users can expect the earbuds to last for up to nine hours on a single charge. The charging case will provide charge for another 27 hours. The earbuds will come with a USB Type-C cable for charging. This also means that the Beats earbuds will feature a USB Type-C port at the bottom of the charging case as opposed to Lightning port found in Apple’s AirPods Pro.
Beats will also add support for Apple’s Spatial Audio tech, which helps offer a more immersive and surround-sound-like experience. The box states that the Studio Buds+ are made for Apple TV, iPhone and iPad but is compatible with Android smartphones as well.
Geskin, citing an Amazon listing, revealed that the Studio Buds+ will launch in the US on May 18. The earbuds have a starting price of $169.95 (roughly Rs. 14,000). There is no word on whether the earbuds will be available in India. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Beats wireless earbuds? Let us know in the comments section below.
