
Nodwin Gaming x Rooter BGMI Champions Cup is the major esports tournament after the game’s unban in the country. After intense competition from 32 teams for eight league days, the top sixteen teams have confirmed their tickets to the Grand Finals of this notable event. This was the first event for underdogs which produced a chance to play against India’s top teams after the game’s relaunch.
The League stage had taken place from 21 June to 28 June and a total of 48 matches were played in a round-robin format where each team played 24 games over the course of eight days. Popular teams like Godlike Esports, Global Esports and X Spark had a bad event, having failed to qualify for the finals. Teams that were ranked from 16th to 32 were eliminated from the tournament.

BGMI Champions Cup Qualified Teams for Grand Finals

The Grand Finals are set to kick off today i.e., 29 June and they will conclude on 2 July. The challenging Grand Finals stage will feature these 16 teams competing in 25 matches across four matchdays.
Blind Esports delivered a string of strong performances during the League Stage over the course of the event’s eight days. They scored 226 points, including 152 frags, with an average of 9.41 points per game over 24 games. The team maintained its performance following their win in Skyesports Champions Series (SCS).
Team Aladin, the previous 7SEA roster, was only two points behind the table leaders and also put up strong performances. As a result, these were the only two teams to score 200 points in 24 games. Gladiators Esports finished third with 189 points, led by BGMI veteran Destro. Gods Reign, Ex TSM BGMI squad, secured fourth position with 185 points and they were followed by Orangutan Gaming in fifth place.
Team SouL finished sixth, followed by Reckoning and 8Bit, while Team Revenant advanced to this level by earning one more Chicken Dinner than Team Velocity.

The tournament boasts a humongous prize pool of Rs 27 lakhs which is distributed among the qualified teams as follows:

- 4th Place – Rs 1.5 lakhs
- 5th Place – Rs 1 lakh
