BGMI Showdown Day 1 gets concluded with OR Esports picking up #1 position on the overall points charts with 80 points. The team have secured two consecutive chicken dinners to ace the table with a wide margin compared to the teams that ranked from fourth to twenty-four. OR did not fare well in the recently concluded Battlegrounds Mobile Masters Series and now they are leading the table in the front.
BGMI Showdown 2022 is the first-ever official LAN event of Battlegrounds Mobile India by Krafton and is announced with Rs 15 Lakh prize pool. The first day featured 24 teams, divided into three groups. Each team have got to play four matches. OR Esports started their day by finishing second in the first match of the event. Later, they went berserk by winning back-to-back chicken dinners in the second and third match with a good amount of eliminations.
BGMI Showdown Day 1 Overall Standings
Team XO, known for its comeback has climbed up to the second position with their aggressive gameplay in their last two matches. They are now standing in second place with 77 points. Hyderabad Hydras with the help of two chicken dinners are now positioned in third place with 71 points while Skylightz is in the fourth spot. Godlike Esports stands in the seventh position, TSM in the twelfth while X spark finished the day in the nineteenth spot. Team Soul had a bad day as well as Global Esports and they ended up taking 23rd and 22nd places respectively.
The first match of the day was won by Hyderabad Hydras which was played between Group A and B on Erangel. Hyderabad Hydras Secured 15 finishes and 15 position points which amount to a total of 30 points in the first match, and OR Esports are the runner-ups in this match with 7 finishes.
The second and third matches were won by OR Esports which were played by Group A vs B and B vs C respectively. OR took 12 finishes and 17 finishes in the second and third matches respectively. These matches have led them to the top spot.
Hyderabad Hydras again clinched the chicken dinner in the fourth match with 12 finishes. Team XO had made a comeback by finishing second place in this match with 11 finishes.
Skylightz Gaming took the win in the fifth match and they defeated Hydra Official to claim their win with 10 finishes. Team XO took the third position in the post-match standings with the help of 12 finishes.
The last match was won by Team INS in which Godlike players Clutchgod and Gill are playing for this event. INS secured the chicken dinner with a total of 13 finishes.
