BGMI Brings New Event in Partnership with Spider-Man No Way Home

BGMI has confirmed a Spider-Man: No Way Home collaboration.

BGMI has finally announced what fans have been talking about for weeks now, a Spider-Man: No Way Home collaboration. Krafton and Battlegrounds Mobile India are teaming up with Sony Pictures to bring the webslinger to Erangel in BGMI Version 1.8 update. Starting today, players will be able to get their hands on exclusive items such as skins by completing certain missions in the game.

More details on the gameplay changes and items will be revealed with the launch of update 1.8 in Mid-January. Krafton hasn’t confirmed the exact date when BGMI ver 1.8 drops, but it is expected to arrive in Mid-January. “This exciting collaboration will allow fans around the world to expand their engagement with their friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man through BGMI’s state-of-the-art gaming experience – all while on the go with their mobile phone,” said Jeffrey Godsick, EVP of Global Partnerships and Brand Management and Head of Location Based Entertainment at Sony Pictures Entertainment.

BGMI confirms collaboration with Spider-Man: No Way Home

BGMI x Spider-Man

This collaboration was teased back in December 2021 with a promotion image of the signature BGMI helmet surrounded by webs. It will be interesting to see what kind of new content, skins, and gameplay additions the collaboration will bring. The bar for Spider-Man collaboration has been set rather high by the likes of games like Fortnite, which has introduced swinging mechanics in the game.

While web swinging looks rather unlikely to happen in BGMI, the devs probably have a few amazing things planned for the collaboration. A similar collab happened between PUBG Mobile and Spider-Man: No Way Home a while back, and perhaps the devs have something similar in store for BGMI fans. More details on the collaboration will be revealed as we near the launch of update 1.8 in Mid-January. Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently out in theatres, and was released in India on December 16th 2021.
