The popular battle royale title, BGMI has recently celebrated 1 year anniversary of its release. Now, with BGMI 2.1 update right around the corner, the developers have rolled out a preview for the upcoming update detailing its features, additions and changes included.
The game’s developers release regular updates to enhance the overall gaming experience for the gamers and partner up with famous personalities and brands to drive in a new user base. It had achieved another milestone by crossing 100 million registered users, which makes it the most popular game in the country. The ongoing 2.0 update is about to end, which welcomes the arrival of the upcoming 2.1 update which is named Ancient of Secret.
BGMI 2.1 Update: New Features, Map, AMR Weapon and More
The preview update video featured Mazy, Shreeman Legend, Payal Gaming and Soul Aman to discuss the new features of the forthcoming update. Based on the leaks and beta servers, the forthcoming update will celebrate the 1st anniversary and it consists of several 1st-anniversary themes. Here are the new features:
The new update has added special ruins which would have puzzles to be solved by the players. Upon solving, players would earn good loot. They are named: Scarab Ruins, and Jackal Ruins(these ruins include tasks like puzzles).
Emperor Temple: This resembles the pharaoh’s temple in the air. Thereby, you will find a Boss monster this time, players will get exciting loot upon defeating it. Added a new animation during the flight path.
Ancient Secret Arise Map: The map is included in three maps, namely Erangel, Livik, and Miramar. A new item named ‘Scarab Charm’ is spawned on the maps and it is used to revive teammates with it.
New Weapon – Lynx AMR: Capable of taking down Level 3 Helmet with a single shot.
Players will not die from a moving vehicle explosion. If the vehicle explodes while moving, the player gets knocked down. However, if four players are present in it, every member will be eliminated.

Other Changes
- Added a new sound training mode which helps in tracking footsteps and gunshots.
- UMP45: THe burst area is reduced while adsing and the laser sight effect is slightly reduced.
- Thomspon 45: Basic Damage and Bullet Speed is slightly increased
- Vector and UZI: Deals greater damage to long-distanced enemies
- Separate Training Mode: New Sniper Range Shooting and Mid-Range Shooting
- Return of Metro Royale Mode: It is back again and the mode re-opens on 14 July 2022.
When will the new BGMI update released?
The developers have not yet announced the launch date for the new update. But, The same update will release for PUBG Mobile on 13 July 2022.
