In this movie, we are introduced to T’Challa, the King of Wakanda, who is dying from an illness. Shuri, his sister, believes that the “heart-shaped herb” can cure it. She tries to create the herb after Erik Killmonger destroys it synthetically. However, she doesn’t manage, and T’Challa dies. A year later, Wakanda is under pressure from other countries to share their vibranium. Some are even trying to steal it by force. Queen Ramonda begs Shuri to carry on her research on the heart-shaped herb in the hopes of creating a new Black Panther that will defend Wakanda.
