Boat has announced a new budget smartwatch in India today. The company has introduced Boat Watch Xplorer O2 with features like a built-in GPS, SpO2 monitor, heart rate sensor, water-resistance, multiple sports tracking, and more. The smartwatch costs less than Rs 3,000 and is already available for purchase on Flipkart. 

Specs and Features

The Boat Watch Xplorer O2 comes with a 1.3-inch full touch screen display with 2.5D curved glass. It is a square display with 240 x 240 pixels resolution. Once charge to 100%, the smartwatch is rated to last up to 10 days 一 it can be charged via the included magnetic charger. The wearable can track multiple sports modes like running, walking, cycling, hiking, climbing, fitness, treadmill, yoga and dynamic cycling. In terms of health-related features, the Watch Xplorer O2 offers a heart rate monitor, a SpO2 sensor to check blood-oxygen levels, and guided meditation.

The star of the show here is the built-in GPS. The Boat Watch Xplorer O2 is one of the cheapest smartwatches in the market with a built-in GPS. Apart from these features, the watch also offers the usual slew of features like call and messages alerts, menstruation cycle tracking, vibration alerts, reminders, and alarms. The smartwatch is compatible with both Android (v4.4 and up) and iOS (v8.0 and up) devices.

The Boat Watch Xplorer O2 is priced at Rs 2,999 and is now available on Flipkart. The smartwatch comes in Black and Orange colour options. 

Boat entered the smartwatch market back in Q4 2020 and within a span of one year, the company has managed to claim the second position with a 24% market share, as per the latest report slightly behind the market leader Noise (25%). Fire-Boltt (17%), Realme (7%), and Amazfit (5%) complete the top 5 chart. In Q3 2021, the Boat Storm smartwatch was the best-selling model with a 17% share in the overall smartwatch market.
