The home-grown brand has equipped the device with an HD display, Bluetooth calling and more. The Wave Genesis smartwatch’s launch comes after the boAt Enigma X500, Enigma X600, Enigma Z30 and Enigma R32 smartwatches. The pricing of the premium Enigma series smartwatches starts at Rs 3,499 and goes up to Rs 4,299. boAt Wave Genesis: Pricing, Availability
The home-grown brand has launched the smartwatch in Burgundy, Active Black, Deep Blue, and Royal Orange colour options. boAt has launched the smartwatch with an introductory price tag of Rs 2,199. The product is already on sale and can be purchased from Flipkart and boAt’s website. boAt offers a discount of Rs 15 for UPI payments through its website for the product. The company also offers a flat 5% cashback for all payments through Mobikwik for purchases through its website.
boAt Wave Genesis: Features, Specifications
boAt equips the boAt Wave Genesis with a large 1.96-inch LCD display with an HD resolution. The display has an exact resolution of 240 x 292 pixels and a peak brightness of 500 nits. boAt equips the smartwatch with support for customized watch faces. The company claims that the smartwatch is equipped with a premium metal body.
boAt has inspired the smartwatch’s design from the recently debuted Apple Watch Ultra 2. boAt Wave Genesis smartwatch features a functional rotating crown and a dedicated button to control the device. boAt claims that the functional rotating crown has decreased the effort to change watch faces, screens and more.
The home-grown brand ships the smartwatch with an ocean band strap similar to the Apple Watch Ultra 2. The smartwatch also supports Bluetooth calling, similar to other smartwatches in the market. The company has included a dedicated microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calling and accessing voice assistants.
The smartwatch supports a dedicated dial pad and syncing contacts and call history. The company equips the device with support for tracking heart rate, SpO2, daily activity and guided breathing. boAt also equips the device with support for tracking over 100 sports modes. The smartwatch is compatible with Google Fit and Apple Health.
Other smartwatch features include sedentary alerts, camera control, music Control, weather, alarm, countdown, stopwatch, DND, Find My Phone and the ability to obtain live cricket scores. boAt equips the smartwatch with IP67 dust, sweat and splash resistance.
The smartwatch is backed by a 290mAh battery, which takes two hours for a full charge. The company claims that the smartwatch has a battery life of 7 days in regular usage. The backup will be reduced to two days in case of Bluetooth calling.
