BSNL is offering extra data on 10 of its prepaid recharge plans, under a Bumper offer. The state-run telco is offering 2.2 GB additional data on top of these existing plans. After the update, the prepaid recharge plan with maximum benefits is the one priced Rs. 999. This plan from BSNL is now offering a total of 579.2 GB data for 181 days. With this promotional offer, BSNL counters the long-term offerings from Reliance Jio.
Bumper Offer on BSNL Rs. 999 Prepaid Recharge Plan
Usually, the BSNL Rs. 999 prepaid recharge offers 1GB of daily data for a period of 181 days. As per the revised plan, the subscribers will get 3.2 GB data daily, translating to a total of 579.2GB data. The validity of the plan remains the same. Note that the offer is valid for a limited period of time. The extra benefits expire on November 14, 2018. Besides the additional data, the plan offers unlimited voice calls with no FUP limits. You can make calls to any network across the country, except for New Delhi and Mumbai. After the 3.2 GB data limit for the day is hit, the speed is throttled to 40kbps. The plan comes with a validity of 181 days.
Jio Rs. 999 Prepaid Recharge Plan
The long-term recharge plan from Reliance Jio, priced at Rs. 999, does not come close to the BSNL offerings at the same price. The Rs. 999 Jio Recharge Plan offers a total of 60GB, which is way lower than what BSNL is offering. However, the plan from Jio does not come with any FUP limit on data. The plan comes with a validity of 90 days. Besides the data benefits, the Jio Rs. 999 prepaid recharge plan offers unlimited voice calls along with 100 messages per day.
Bumper Offer on Other Prepaid Plans from BSNL
As we mentioned earlier, BSNL is providing 2.2GB extra data on 10 of its prepaid recharge plans, out of which, 5 are for new users and 5 for the existing subscribers. The existing plans, eligible for the bumped up data include prepaid plans worth Rs. 186, Rs. 429, Rs. 485, Rs. 666 and Rs. 999. All these prepaid recharge plans offer unlimited voice calling benefits with no FUP constraints. The BSNL Rs. 186 prepaid plan offers 1GB data daily for a period of 28 days, while the BSNL Rs. 429 plan offers 1GB data per day for a total of 81 days. The Rs. 485 prepaid plan offers a 1.5 GB data daily for 90 days, and the BSNL Rs. 666 prepaid recharge plan delivers 1.5 GB data daily with a validity of 129 days. And finally, there is Rs. 999 prepaid recharge plan that offers 1GB data daily for 181 days. With Bumper Offer in effect, all these plans offer an extra 2.2 GB data on top of the existing benefits.
Furthermore, BSNL is offering the additional 2.2 GB data on its unlimited STVs as well. The STVs with similar benefits include plans worth Rs. 187, Rs. 333, Rs. 349, Rs. 444 and Rs. 448.
