BSNL is offering extra data for free over and above its existing recharge plans, as part of festive deals. BSNL’s recharge plans of Rs 251, Rs 299, and Rs 398 are included in the company’s ‘Diwali Bonanza’ deals, which will get 3GB of free data each. Users will need to recharge via the BSNL Self-care app or website to avail the offers.
The offers were announced by the company in a series of posts on X. BSNL recently revamped its prepaid and postpaid plan prices, in compliance with changes in prices by TRAI. We look at all the recharge offers by BSNL, which are a part of its ‘Diwali Bonanza’.
BSNL Diwali Offers: Free 3GB Data With Rs 251, Rs 299, and Rs 398 Recharge Plans
First up is the Rs 251 plan, which users can recharge to get 3GB of data free over and above 70GB of data that the plan already offers. However, do keep in mind that the validity of the plan is only 28 days. This means that the entire data, including the free 3GB data, will expire after a period of 28 days.

Next up is the Rs 299 data voucher by BSNL. The company is also offering 3GB of data with this plan. The plan already offers 3GB of data per day as well as unlimited local and STD voice calls and 100 daily SMS. The validity of the plan is 30 days.

Further, BSNL’s Rs 398 recharge voucher is also a part of its festive deals. BSNL users who recharge with Rs 398 can get 3GB of free data over and above 120GB of data that the plan already includes. Do note that the validity of the plan is 30 days, which means that users will get a total of 123GB of data for this period upon recharging. The plan also gives access to unlimited local and STD calls as well as 100 SMS per day for the validity period.

BSNL Diwali Offers: How To Recharge
To get free 3GB of data on the recharge plans, users will need to head to the BSNL Self-care app or the portal. To recall, BSNL launched its Self-care app in September 2021. It allows its subscribers to check for their existing tariff plans, pay bills, get recharges done, and more. The app also supports fingerprint authentication for an extra layer of security.
To get the recharge done, users will need to make sure that they are logged in. Once logged in, these steps need to be followed:
- Click on the ‘Recharge Now’ option on the Home Page of the app
- Users will need to select from the list of plans to recharge
- Check the details of the chosen plan for the amount of data, calling, SMS, etc that it offers.
- Select the plan to recharge with, and click on ‘top up’.
- Next, users will be redirected to a payment desk to complete their payment for the plan.
- Once the payment is complete, users will get an acknowledgment via SMS.
