BSNL is known for launching for its special tariff vouchers around the festivals. The state-run telco has recently launched a ‘Bumper Offer‘ to provide additional data on its existing prepaid recharge plans. In the latest development, the telecom operator is offering unlimited data and voice calling incentives with its new STV-78.
BSNL STV-78 Details
The new special tariff voucher (STV-78) is rolled out on the occasion of Durga Puja, Dussehra, and Diwali. The plan is meant for the prepaid customers of the telecom operator and is priced at Rs. 78. The STV-78 offers benefits like unlimited data, unlimited voice calls, and video calls. There is no FUP limit on the voice calls to any network within the country. The unlimited video calling option can be activated by sending an SMS to 123 as ‘STV COMBO78.’ With STV-78, BSNL is offering a total of 2GB data daily. When the data limit is hit, the speed throttles to 80 Kbps.
The plan holds a validity of 10 days and is effective on a pan-India basis from October 15. Although, the validity period is small, the plan is worth noting as BSNL is offering everything unlimited.
Commenting on the new prepaid recharge plan, BSNL CMD Anupam Shrivastava said, “On the occasion of Durga Puja, Dussehra and Diwali, STV-78 will suit you all and will enable them to be in touch with their family and friends during the festive season”.
BSNL Vs Other Telecom Operators
In recent times, the telecom operators have found a new inclination towards the long-term plans with the unlimited voice call benefits. Private telecom operators like Airtel and Vodafone have rolled out several long-term validity plans to attract users with high-calling needs. Vodafone has recently launched two new long-term plans that offer up to 3GB data daily for a period of 84 days. The Vodafone Rs. 511 plan offers 2GB of 4G/3G data per day for the entire validity period. The plan also offers unlimited voice calls with weekly and daily FUP limits along with 100 SMS per day. The other plan from Vodafone, priced at Rs. 569, offers 3GB of 3G/4G data per day for the entire validation period of 84 days. This plan also offers unlimited voice calling benefits along with 100 SMS per day.
Airtel, on the other hand, has a prepaid plan worth Rs. 558 which offers 3GB data daily to its users. The plan also offers unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day. The long-term plan from Airtel holds a validity of 82 days. Unlike Vodafone, the Airtel prepaid recharge plan does not come with any FUP constraints.
Just like other telecom operators, Reliance Jio also has long-term validity plans. However, this Mukesh Ambani-led telecom operator rolls out the recharge plans with similar data and voice calling benefits. BSNL has its own set of plans that are cost-effective and better than the tariff plans of other telecom operators.
