BSNL IPL STVs

State-owned Telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is finally trying to match up to its private counterparts. The telco has announced two special plans to treat the Indian Premier League (IPL) Twenty20 fans in India. The two special tariff vouchers – STV 199/201 and STV 499 have been announced to woo cricket fans.

BSNL Launched Special Tariff Vouchers For IPL 2019: STV 199/201 and STV 499

The latest plans are aimed at IPL 2019 fans includes special services. The STV 199/201 comes with unlimited voice calling including both STD and Local. It offers 1GB of daily data and is valid for 28 days. Going by the official tweet made by BSNL, this STV will cost INR 201 in select regions while some regions would get it at INR 199.

The STV 499 also includes unlimited voice calling for both local and STD calls in the local service area. For circles like Mumbai and Delhi, the unlimited voice calling is also valid on roaming. This STV offers 1GB of daily data and up to 100 SMS. It is valid for 90 days.

To recall, these STVs were first launched for Chennai circle including Tamil Nadu back in March 2019. Now, BSNL has extended them to other circles too. Check out the tweet below to get more info. As good as it is for BSNL to share the latest plan on Twitter, we do think they need to hire a proofreader for avoiding glaring grammatical error as in the image shared with the tweet.

Personalized Ring Bank Tone service (PRBT), Live Cricket Score, and More

One of the highlights of these special tariff vouchers is that they offer live cricket scores during the matches. It sends Cricket Alert (SMS) to the users in every 15 minutes to keep them updated when they are not able to watch the game live. Users also get to use the Personalized Ring Bank Tone service (PRBT) after the match finishes. This service allows users to choose any tune or song by downloading the MY BSNL Tune app from Google Play Store.

Well, BSNL is indeed trying to compete with Airtel, Jio, and Vodafone Idea by launching these STVs. Other telcos have also launched special plans for IPL 2019. As India is known for its love towards cricket, every telco is trying to woo the subscribers with skillfully tailored offers.

Are you a BSNL subscriber? If yes, would you be opting for these STVs? Share your views in the comments below.
