Fledgling state-owned telecommunications company BSNL has updated its popular long-term prepaid plan in a move to retain existing customers and to attract new ones. The company, over the past few weeks, has been continuously rolling out new plans for its cellular and broadband subscribers. In the latest such instance, the company has enhanced its long term plan that costs INR 1,699 with a much longer validity period and daily data benefits. The highlight of this plan is the fact that its validity lasts for 455 days – making it perhaps the longest-lasting plan to have ever been rolled out for mobile subscribers in India. According to Telecom Talk, the old plan originally offered 365 days of validity but BSNL has offered an additional 90 days of validity as well as an additional 2.2GB of data per day as part of a promotional offer. Let us now delve into the finer details of this plan.

BSNL Rs 1,699 Prepaid Plan promotional offer details

The BSNL prepaid plan worth INR 1699 was rolled out a few months ago in order to compete with other similar long term plans from the likes of Jio and Airtel. The plan originally offered 2GB of data per day for a period of 365 days. The same plan has now been enhanced by BSNL (in select circles) for a period of August 14, 2019, and September 13, 2019. If you recharge for this plan during this period, you will receive an extra 90 days of validity and an additional 2.2GB of data per day over and above the 2GB per day data that the plan originally offered. This effectively means that users will get 4.2GB of data per day for 445 days or one year and three months. Other benefits of this plan include unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. As things stand right now, the enhanced 1699 plan is perhaps the best long term plan currently on offer with any telecom operator in the country.

Needless to say, if you happen to be a BSNL Mobile consumer and were looking for a good long term plan, you simply cannot go wrong with this one.
