
Indian esports is gaining steam. We have been hearing about a ton of esports tournaments geared towards Indian gamers lately. Thanks to the rising interest in mobile gaming in India, access to faster internet and more capable devices, esports is gaining solid footing.
Recently, we had reported about a Call of Duty: Mobile esports tournament with a prize pool of Rs 6 lakhs. Now, we have an even bigger Call of Duty: Mobile esports tournament coming up. Indian esports and streaming platform Loco has teamed up with Activision Blizzard to host a Call of Duty: Mobile tournament, with a prize pool of Rs 35 lakhs.

Loco and Activision Blizzard are going big with this one. Named Call of Duty: Mobile India Cup, the tournament will have a combined prize pool for Rs 35 lakhs. Within this tournament, there will be two separate events, Call of Duty: Mobile India Cup Open and Call of Duty: Mobile India Cup Pro.
Call of Duty Mobile India Cup Open will have 5v5 matches in an open qualifier format. The prize pool for the Open is Rs 10 Lakhs. The cash prize for the 1st position will be Rs 5 Lakhs, with the remaining split up between teams that place 2nd through 8th.
From the Open, 16 qualifying teams will move on to the Call of Duty Mobile India Cup Pro tournament. These 16 Open qualified teams will go up against India’s top professional Call of Duty: Mobile teams, including the likes of Team Mayhem and Team IND. Matches will be 5v5, in a league format.
The prize pool for Call of Duty Mobile India Cup Pro is Rs 25 Lakhs. The winning team will get Rs 10 Lakhs. 2nd place winner will get Rs 5 Lakhs and 3rd place will win Rs 3 Lakhs. The remainder of the prize pool will be split between teams that place 4th through 8th.
