Cheat codes and game hacking used to be normal for a lot of games but it seems that the game companies are not in a mood to tolerate any more cheating behaviour by the player. In an urge to restrict these cheaters Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the battle royale game Warzone has taken a big step by banning more than 200,000 accounts, which are indulged in cheating since the launch of the game titles.

According to a report from Vice, at the starting of this week Activision the game developing firms has de-activated more than 200,000 Warzone players after the company detected that these accounts were allegedly using an app which helps them to cheat in the game.

The report also claimed that Nick Wagner a popular Twitch streamer was also banned in the middle of a Warzone game on Monday. The report suggests that Wagner’s computer froze, and he received an error message. Once he restarted the game, he received a message informing that his account is permanently banned.

“Since launch, the team has banned over 200,000 accounts for cheating across #Warzone and #ModernWarfare, including a new wave this week. We are continuing to deploy additional security updates and added backend enforcement tools. Zero tolerance for cheating” reads Infinity Ward official Twitter post.

In addition to the ban, the Infinity Ward said that they are not going to tolerate cheaters by releasing additional security updates” and “backend enforcement tools.” The game developers are yet to shed any lights on the specifications of the newly released anti-cheat technology.

This is a big hit to Modern Warfare and Warzone players because the company has recently launched its latest Season 6 update, which brings new multiplayer maps and a lot more among the others. The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is all set to release in November and the open beta will be available for testing from late October.
