Call of Duty Modern Warfare II

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II comes out on October 23, 2022 and is a follow-up to the most successful COD to date, 2019’s Modern Warfare. The game just got a new gameplay trailer that showcases a bunch of interesting locales and missions from the single-player campaign.

The studio details several new improvements to the formula that players will find in Modern Warfare II such as a new hybrid tile-based streaming system, world volumetric lighting, and a new GPU geometry pipeline. All these new features are in service to what Infinity Ward claims is a  massive cinematic Campaign.

Multiplayer receives a major overhaul in the form of a new, revamped Gunsmith that offers more customization than ever before.

Infinity Ward also lets on that there is still more to come, which they will likely reveal later down the line. The game’s single-player campaign will follow the iconic Task Force 141 as players get to experience the rise of the team in an all-new way. The 2019 reboot saw Infinity Ward reintroduce Task Force 141 and the sequel will pick up right where the last one left off.

Special Ops also returns to Call of Duty alongside Multiplayer and Single-Player Campaign and will usher players into the “new era” of COD.
