Nothing, a month ago, confirmed that they have been working on a phone which they call Nothing Phone (1) and will launch it in Summer later this year. The company hasn’t confirmed any specifications about the device as they like to keep things exciting. Recently, the company released its Nothing Launcher on Play Store for select smartphones.

Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing seems to have confirmed the Nothing Phone (1) launch date. While the company has already confirmed that it will launch the phone in summer, Pei’s latest tweet gives us more details about the smartphone launch date. And if you are thinking when can we expect the Nothing Phone (1) in India, then here’s everything you need to know about it.

Nothing Phone (1) Launching on June 9, India availability soon?

Carl Pei, Nothing founder, has replied to a user query on the smartphone launch date on Twitter. Pei has replied with the text ‘6/9 at 4:20’ which could possibly be the smartphone launch date. Now, if you go by the date it could be June 9 as per the US date format. We speculate that the Nothing Phone (1) will launch on June 9 as the company has been teasing that it will launch the device in summer.

But we know how Carl likes to keep things exciting and not simple. Hence it was unexpected of him to announce the launch date simply in a reply to a tweet. We expect the company to create more buzz about its first smartphone.

We also expect the Nothing Phone (1) to launch in India soon after the global launch as Nothing has a partnership with Flipkart for its product. The Nothing Ear (1) was similarly launched in India right after the global launch.

What to Expect from Nothing Phone (1)?

The company hasn’t confirmed anything about the device except that it will have Nothing OS launcher based on Android 12 and a Qualcomm chipset. The specifications of the device have leaked in the past, it is expected to sport a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate support.

Nothing Phone (1) could come with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP secondary camera, which could be an ultra-wide lens and a 2MP snapper, which is likely to be a depth or a macro lens.
