CES 2020: Samsung Galaxy Book Flex Alpha 2-in-1 Laptop with 13.3-inch LCD with QLED backlight, 10th Gen Intel Processor Launched

While we are still a few hours away from the official kick-off of CES 2020, brands have already started unveiling their hardware. The first announcement from CES comes from the South Korean giant Samsung. The company has introduces its Galaxy Book Flex α (alpha). It is a Windows 10 laptop that can also be used as a tablet owing to its 360-degree hinge mechanism. In simple words, it is kind of like Lenovo’s Yoga series notebooks. Samsung’s laptop has a slim body and minimal aesthetics. The Galaxy Book Flex α (alpha) is loaded with the company’s LCD screen QLED backlight technique, which offers better color and contrast compared to the conventional LCD panels. With its Galaxy moniker, the laptop also borrows a few tricks from Samsung’s smartphone division. For starters, it comes with Active Pen stylus support, which is a lot like the S-Pen. Galaxy Book Flex α (alpha) Specifications

Thanks to its aluminum body, this sleek laptop weighs just around 1.2 kg. It relies on a fingerprint sensor for security. The Galaxy Book Flex α (alpha) sports a 13.3-inch Full HD display. Samsung claims that the screen is capable of producing one billion colors. The display has a peak brightness of 600-nit.

The laptop comes with a chiclet type backlit keyboard coupled with a spacious touchpad. The machine is powered by Intel’s latest 10th generation Core processor lineup. It is backed by Intel’s UHD Graphics chip. The laptop comes in 8 GB and 12 GB variants. Users can choose between 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB SSD storage. On the connectivity front, you get Wi-Fi, two full-size USB ports, and one USB Type C connector. For video calls, the laptop comes with an HD webcam and a mic. The laptop packs in a 54 Wh battery with fast charging support.

Galaxy Book Flex α (alpha) Price and Availability

Samsung hasn’t given a precise release date for the Galaxy Book Flex α (alpha). But, it did reveal that the laptop will be made available sometime in the first quarter of 2020. As for the price, the Galaxy Book Flex α (alpha) will have a base price of $830 (approx Rs 60,000).
