CES 2020: Zotac Announces ZBOX, ZBOX Edge, ZBOX Magnus Mini PCs

Zotac, a company known for making small form-factor PCs, has unveiled its latest generation of compact PCs during the CES 2020 – Zotac ZBOX, ZBOX Edge, and the ZBOX Magnus Mini PCs. All the PCs unveiled by the company will start selling later this year. For now, let’s pay attention to the specifications and features the latest generation of the Zotac PCs have in store for us.

Zotac Unveils the ZBOX, ZBOX Edge, and ZBOX Magnus Mini PCs During the CES 2020

1. Zotac ZBOX Edge Mini PCs

Starting with the Zotac ZBOX Edge mini PCs, the company has unveiled two compact mini-desktops under the lineup – ZBOX Edge MI643 and Zotac ZBOX Edge CI341. The Edge MI643 is just 1.12-inch high and is powered with a 15 watt Intel Comet Lake processor. The Edge CI341 is slightly larger at 1.26-inch and is powered with a 6 watt Intel Gemini Lake processor. Plus, it is a fanless model. Below is a run-down of the specifications of both the ZBOX Edge mini PCs:

ZBOX Edge MI643 Specifications

ZBOX Edge CI341 Specifications

  • 1 x M.2 2242 slot, 1 x M.2 2280 slot
  • 1 x HDMI 2.0 port, 1 x DisplayPort 1.2

2. Zotac ZBOX MI662 nano and ZBOX CI662 nano

Moving on, Zotac has introduced two new tiny computers under its ZBOX nano series – the Zotac ZBOX MI662 nano and ZBOX CI662 nano. Both of them are powered with the 10th-gen Intel Core “Comet Lake” processors. Plus, both of them have a fairly compact form factor when compared with the traditional desktops out there. The ZBOX CI662, however, features a comparatively larger casing owing to the passively-cooled compartment (there are lots of small holes in it as there is no fans inside). Both of them come with Intel Core i7-10510U quad-core processors and will be available in Core i3 and Core i5 configurations as well. Other than the difference in the shape and size, both of them feature similar specifications:

  • 2 SODIMM slots for up to 32GB of DR4-2400/2666 RAM
  • 2.5″ drive bay for an HDD or SSD

Both the PCs are VESA mountable, which essentially means that one can attach them to the back of a display to achieve a compact desktop computer form factor.

3. Zotac ZBOX Magnus Mini PCs

Zotac has also introduced a couple of new PCs under the Zotac ZBOX Magnus Mini lineup – ZBOX Magnus EN92080V and ZBOX Magnus EC72070S. The ZBOX Magnus EN92080V runs on a 45 watt Intel Core i9-9980H octa-core processor, which is paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics and have support for up to 32GB of DDR4-2400/2666 RAM. The PC is pretty slim and is just 2.45-inch high. The PC comes with a 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD and has an M.2 slot for NVMe storage as well. Other features include Killer AX1650 WiFi, Bluetooth 5, and two Ethernet ports. As far as the ports are concerned, the ZBOX Magnus EN92080V comes with the following ports:

  • 2 x HDMI 2.0
  • 1 x DisplayPort 1.4
  • 2 x USB 3.1 Type-C
  • 4 x USB 3.0 Type-A
  • An SDXC card reader

The ZBOX Magnus EC72070S comes with slightly toned-down specifications and runs on an Intel Core i7-9750H Hexa-core processor, which is paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super graphics. The PC has support for up to 64GB of memory. The PC comes with a 2.5-inch drive bay, an M.2 2242/2280 slot for NVMe storage, 3 x DisplayPort 1.4, 1 x HDMI 2.0b, 1 x USB 3.1 Type-C port, 5 x USB 3.1 Type-A ports, an SDXC card reader, 1 x 2.5Gbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 (Killer AX1650), and Bluetooth 5.0. Thee are no Thunderbolt 3 ports on either of the PCs.
