The movie Chandramukhi 2, starring Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence, was released in theaters on September 28. The horror-comedy film will debut on an OTT platform within a month after it opens in theaters. The Tamil horror comedy Chandramukhi 2 is preparing for its streaming debut on the 28th day of its theatrical release, following in the footsteps of Nelson’s Rajinikanth-starring Jailer.
Chandramukhi 2 will have its world premiere on October 26th, Netflix announced, adding it to its enormous catalogue of South titles. In addition to the original Tamil, the movie will be streamable in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. It is a sequel to the critically acclaimed P. Vasu’s Chandramukhi (2005), starring Rajinikanth and Jyothika. After Thalaivii and Dham Dhoom, Kangana Ranaut starred in her third Tamil film, Chandramukhi 2.

The plot of Chandramukhi 2 centers on a wealthy family that somehow ignites the long-standing conflict between Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan Raja. The family experiences ghostly activity as the movie goes along, and they work to find a solution. Lakshmi Menon also plays a significant part in it.
In addition to Kangana and Raghava, Lakshmi Menon, Vadivelu, Srushti Dange, and Raadhika Sarathkumar play important roles in the movie.MM Keeravani gave the music for the movie, while Lyca Productions, helmed by Subaskaran Allirahaj, produced it. The movie is directed by P Vasu and Mahendran. P Vasu also wrote the script of the movie.

Despite having great hopes going in, the movie received negative reviews from reviewers and viewers, which ultimately led to a significant drop in its box office performance. According to sources, despite having a production expenditure of between Rs 60 and Rs 65 crore, the film only made Rs 51.7 crore globally. Even IMDB gave the movie a rating of 3.2/10.
