Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus finally has an OTT release date! On February 17th, the comedy-drama film will be available on the popular OTT platform Netflix. The movie stars Ranveer Singh in dual roles along with Pooja Hedge and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film was earlier released in theatres on December 24, 2022, but it was a colossal flop, and the audience was not happy with the film at all. The film was reportedly made with a budget of 150 crores, and it was only able to collect around 60 crores. Cirkus is based on William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Error, and the screenplay is written by Yunus Sajawal. Moreover, the film is also said to be a remake of Angoor, a 1982 Bollywood movie.

Netflix has confirmed that the film will be available for streaming on its platform on February 17th. The company made this announcement on its official Twitter handle.

Cirkus Cast
Ranveer Singh plays the lead role in the film along with Pooja Hedge, Varun Sharma, and Jacqueline Fernandez. Apart from this, Cirkus also stars Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever, Ashwini Kalsekar, Siddharth Jadhav, Vrajesh Hirjee, Tiku Talsania, Murali Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, Brijendra Kala, Anil Charanjeett, Sulabha Arya, and Vijay Patkar in other pivot roles. The movie has been directed by Rohit Shetty and jointly produced by Rohit Shetty Productionz and T-Series.
Cirkus Plot
Talking about the storyline, Cirkus is about two sets of identical twins that were found on the doorsteps of an orphanage. The twins are taken by two different families and go to two different cities. One pair of twins resides in Ooty, while the other pair in Bangalore. Interestingly, both the twins are named Roy and Joy. The story moves forward when both the set of twins cross the path in the same city, leading to a series of comedies of errors.
Cirkus Reception
The film was released in theatres on December 23, 2022, and failed to impress the audience. The reviewers pointed out that the movie is flawed and lacks the element of comedy. The humour was platonic. Cirkus was made with a massive budget of 150 crores, but it turned out to be a big commercial failure as it was only able to collect around Rs 61.47 crore at the box office.
